New Senior FM appointed following internal promotion
EnvirotechFM is pleased to announce that Tim Prendergast has been promoted to the position of Senior FM for the North.
Tim, who joined EnvirotechFM as Facilities Manager North in 2023, has worked in FM for 17 years and now has responsibility for 21 sites across the north of England.
He said: “I have really enjoyed my career in FM on the whole but, prior to joining EnvirotechFM, I had lost a little bit of my love for the role. I was previously working at a very large organisation with responsibility for 192 sites, yet I only got to visit two of these in a 12-month period. It was FM delivered remotely sitting behind a desk and that for me is not FM.
“So, I decided to seek a new opportunity, and I was actually on holiday in Cyprus when I saw the position with EnvirotechFM. It interested me and I had my first interview while I was still on holiday, which was an unusual experience! I really liked the sound of the role as it gave opportunity to get to know the sites that I would hold responsibility for and that was something that I had definitely missed.
“Since I started the company has been as good as its word and delivered exactly what was promised, so I am delighted to be promoted and to remain on my journey at what is undoubtedly an exciting time for EnvirotechFM. The company is committed to sticking with its ethos of providing exceptional levels of face-to-face service and this isn’t going to change, as we continue to grow both as a company and as individuals on our respective career paths.
“I also love having the opportunity to engage with senior management on a regular basis, which is something that you rarely have the chance to do in a much larger organisation, I still feel there is so much to learn from our Grey Haired IP of people like Pinder and Jeff, who have huge amounts of experience in FM and they’re there for us whenever we seek the benefit of their knowledge, so I really couldn’t be happier.”
