Envirotech FM wins a prestigious Green Apple Award for 2024!
Envirotech is proud to announce that it is the recipient of a prestigious Green Apple Award for a project to reduce the number of paper cups used by the business.
In 2023, Envirotech FM committed to making a positive impact on dramatically reducing disposable cups used by the business throughout the year. The decision was therefore taken to purchase reusable branded cups for staff across all locations, to hold both hot and cold drinks without leaking.
The results were as follows:
- Reduced the number of paper takeaway cups used by the business to ZERO.
- Saved half a cubic metre of waste.
- This cup now forms part of the Envirotech FM induction package, ensuring new employees only use reusable cups whilst out on business.
- Impacted the mindset of employees to influence a positive change in behaviour away from the workplace.
The success of the project was recognised by the Green Apple Awards, which were established in 1994 as an annual campaign to recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice around the world.
